Warning!

While reading a book or seeing a movie for a 2nd time, you have the advantage of knowing what difficulties the characters are about to enter. You find yourself thinking or even saying out loud, "Stop! Don't go in there!"

At times while reading my old journals I feel like warning myself:

"Be careful, don't trust that person; Stop! that way is dangerous...

Watch out!!!"

Believe me, God has protected me numerous times in my foolishness, carelessness, nativity or selfishness. And I am thankful for that!

But...

He has also allowed me to go through trials, struggles, pain, humility and hurt. Because of his love, my Father never abandoned me in those times. He was there the all along the way; walking with me and waiting.

He knew the danger, pain or struggle that I was about to enter, but didn't stop it. Because He is all wise and knows which circumstances will cause me to humble myself, run to him, and learn to trust my Abba,

He sees the growth that will take place. He knows that in all the pain, sorrow and striving I will eventually grow weary and let go. To allow His light to shine on me, so that my darkness fades.

He is the filter that only allows circumstances in my life that will be of value.

The Message (MSG)

¹³No test or temptation that comes your way is beyond the course of what others have had to face. All you need to remember is that God will never let you down; he'll never let you be pushed past your limit; he'll always be there to help you come through it.
