“So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today."--Matt 6:34
"Today we have far too many desires and interests, and our lives are being consumed and wasted by them. Many of them may be right, noble, and good, and may later be fulfilled, but in the meantime God must cause their importance to us to decrease."---Oswald Chambers
God knows it is too much for us to be concerned about the future. That is why we have NO idea what will happen, tomorrow, today, in the next hour or minute.
He only wants us to concern ourselves with knowing and following Him right now. Doing what we know will please Him. He fills us-to be poured out. But we have no idea who will be blessed by us being poured out. We need only to be willing.
It is very tempting at times to dwell on what could take place in the future. To be distracted from what is happening now, because we spend too much time "dreaming" about what could be.
That is a waste of time, a tool of satan. It distracts us from reality and what our life is now. It keeps us from being poured out NOW.
My prayer... "God lead me not into temptation. Please don't let me be distracted by the "someday" or even in "waiting".
Let me rest in you, trust in you and experience your peace-
that can not be fathomed.
To experience joy in the NOW."
I want to bask in the sunshine of what God has blessed me with today. To stand in His light that is so bright that I can't be seen...
only his light.
I weary of myself and my selfishness. I want to decrease, so that He might increase!
